| Ziele/Aims |
Life cell imaging has the potential to monitor dynamics and changes of processes. In the practical couse, students will learn to cultivate cells, stain them with vital dyes and record the effect of inhibitors and drugs. Also, diverse fluorescent genetically encoded sensor proteins will be visualized. In parallel, metabolic analysis will be performed to dissect the mechanism of action. |
| Inhalte/Content |
The objective of our research and the assays performed in the course is to understand the dependence of mitochondrial energy-metabolism on various parameters such as nutrition, metabolic switch, lipid-protein interaction and ultrastructure of organelles. |
| Methoden/Methods |
Cell culture, transfection of cells and staining of subcellular compartments. Dual and triple color microscopy, mulitparamater fluorescence imaging, Seahorse Analyser for metabolic analysis. |
